When I look back at my experience at Lakehead University I think about how lucky we were as students to have such small classes when we actually got to know the faculty. We have such a great group of faculty to learn from. Doug Alexander was such a great man and I enjoyed every class. I loved how he pushed us to achieve and how he knew that participation in a business program was not just to test us every single day but to teach us that work tests us every day as well.
Professor Hartvickson once said to me in my final year at Lakehead...you have a business degree that you can use in any industry, so now you just have to find an industry you love to apply it to. I used what I learned in several industries but in the end I found healthcare.
I'm now at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and thirty years plus later I can still remember the people and the life lessons they taught!
