Celebrating a 50th Anniversary is about connecting, meeting up with old friends, and making new ones. There are a number of ways you can participate. From volunteering at one of our events, to hosting your own 50th celebration, to meeting with Alumni Chapters in your area – the options are endless. Let us know how you’d like to get involved. Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Hashtag it #Lakehead50.
Dip into nostalgia and share your Lakehead experience. Be it memorable moments in the classroom, what it was like working for The Argus in 1966, or how those notorious Forestry and Engineering pranks were pulled off – we want to hear all about it. It’s these stories that make Lakehead what it is – an exceptional and unconventional place to learn.
Behind every successful event is a strong team of enthusiastic, energetic, creative volunteers. If you’re interested in making the 50th Anniversary a year to remember, please fill out the form and check the events you’re interested in being a part of.
Lakehead University is selling 50/50 tickets to raise funds for student financial aid. Tickets are $5 each or $20 for six tickets. Tickets may not be purchased by or on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 years old. Tickets are available on Campus at the Bookstore, Security and Switchboard, as well as during special events throughout the year.
Thank you so much to everyone who requested a 50th-in-a-Box. Since April 2015, we have mailed 200 celebration boxes around the globe to help Lakehead Alumni all over the world celebrate 50 years alongside us.
All across the country Lakehead University alumni will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary. As you know, Lakehead is a tightknit community. With us, six degrees of separation is more than a theory – it’s a reality – and our graduates have thrilling stories to tell.
We like to stay in touch with our Lakehead family but we understand that when the chicks leave the nest, they tend to scatter. Please take some time and let us know where you are and what you're up to.
Please feel free to contact us at any time. We want to make sure that you enjoy the celebration as much as we will.
